Rich Flavored Teas
“Richness” is a very common descriptor when it comes to describing the taste of different types of tea. It’s a good blanket term to describe teas that have an abundance of flavor, color, aroma and mouthfeel. They’re essentially the opposite of light flavored teas.
Similar to “light” teas, the richness of a tea has just as much to do with what type of tea you start with as it does the brewing process. Often, you can make a traditionally light tea “richer” by extending the brewing process and the concentration of the tea.
Some of the most popular teas that could be described as “rich” are black teas, Assams, chai teas, Darjeeling, Breakfast teas, Earl Grey teas, spiced teas and more. You can shop all of our rich flavored teas below!
